Fast billing at the counter: barcode, scale and offline

Scan like a supermarket, sell loose items by weight, take JazzCash or udhaar, and keep billing when the internet goes — the Munshi sale screen explained.

A long queue at the counter costs you customers. The Munshi sale screen (Bikri) is built to make a bill in seconds, on a phone, tablet or PC.

Scan like a supermarket

Loose items and scale labels

For atta, daal, sabzi or meat sold by weight, Munshi reads EAN-13 scale labels with the weight or price inside the barcode. You can also sell by amount: type "Rs 150 of sugar" and Munshi works out the weight.

Every way to take payment

Cash, JazzCash, Easypaisa, Raast, card, or udhaar on the customer's khata — or a mix (part cash, part udhaar). With the payment QR turned on, the customer scans a QR for the exact amount and the bill confirms itself.

Receipts that customers keep

Print on a 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer, print a proper A4 invoice with your logo, or send the receipt on WhatsApp. Every receipt can carry a "Rate us" link, so you learn how customers feel.

When the internet goes

Pakistan has load-shedding and weak signal; Munshi is ready for it. Once installed, the sale screen keeps working offline: bills are saved on the device and sent to your account when the connection returns — each bill once, never twice.

Safe at the counter

Tip: put a cheap USB scanner next to the till. Most shops say billing becomes twice as fast in the first week.
