Start your shop on Munshi in 10 minutes

Munshi is the hisaab-kitaab app for Pakistani shops, restaurants and small businesses. It works on the phone you already have, in English or Roman Urdu, and the free plan is enough for a small shop. Here is how to get going in about ten minutes.

1. Sign up with your mobile number

Open apnamunshi.com and tap Start free. Type your mobile number (like 0300 1234567); you get a code by SMS. Then choose a 4-digit PIN — from now on you open Munshi with your number and PIN, just like a mobile wallet.

No email, no password to remember, no card.

2. Tell Munshi what you sell

Choose your kind of business: kiryana, medical store, mobile shop, restaurant, bakery, salon, tailor, hardware, distributor and more. Munshi sets itself up for that trade:

• the right units (kg, dozen, piece, litre),
• a starter list of products you can keep or delete,
• the screens you need (a restaurant gets tables and a kitchen screen, a salon gets appointments).

3. Add your products — or scan them

You can type products one by one, scan the barcode with the phone camera, or bring your whole list from Excel with the import wizard. Prices can be changed any time, and an item without a barcode can get a printed sticker.

4. Make your first bill

Tap Bikri, tap or scan the items, and take payment: cash, JazzCash, Easypaisa, card, or udhaar on the customer's khata. Print the receipt or send it on WhatsApp in one tap.

5. Install the app

Tap Install Munshi app (the download icon at the top). Munshi then opens from your home screen like any app and the sale screen keeps working without internet; bills sync when the connection is back.

What next?

• Add a cashier: More → Shop users. Each person gets their own PIN, and you choose what they can see.
• Open the Tools guide in the app to see every tool, or tap the ✨ Munshi Madad button and ask "udhaar kaise likhun?" in your own words.
• Stuck? Message us on WhatsApp — a real person answers.

Tip: start with just billing and udhaar for a week. Once you trust the numbers, turn on stock, kharcha and staff.
